1. Who is responsible

2. What data and why

  • Contact and quote requests: name, email, mobile, postcode, town, details about your building and project, and your message. We use them to answer your question and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps at your request prior to an agreement, and your consent.
  • Clients: the data needed to carry out and invoice the works. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and legal obligations.
  • Job applications: your details and CV, to assess your application. Legal basis: steps at your request prior to an employment contract.

3. Who receives your data

  • Netlify, which hosts the website and processes the forms. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers take place with appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
  • Our email provider and accountant, only where necessary.
  • Authorities, only when required by law.

We do not sell your data.

4. How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to an assignment are kept for up to 2 years. Client data and invoices are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Applications are deleted after the selection process, unless you agree to us keeping them for 1 year for future vacancies.

5. Cookies

This website uses no cookies for statistics or advertising and does not track you. It only remembers your language choice in your browser. If you click a link to Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, those services’ rules apply.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@akgroup.be; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

7. Security

The website runs over a secure HTTPS connection. We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
